It was such a pleasure to speak to Jill Norman last week and hear about her wealth of experience in the food world. Her five memorable meals were seemingly so varied but at the same time connected to each other by human intimacy: whether that was with people that Jill met for the first time in a Bolivian potato field or great friends and colleagues from around the world at a birthday party. Jill’s experiences highlight the contextual importance of food and how what we take in is not just produce, but something intimately linked to our relationships with each other.
